Weather methodology

2024–2025 historical data: a two-year planning reference, not a forecast or a long-term climate normal.

Source and calculations

Open-Meteo · Historical Weather API · CC BY 4.0

We aggregate daily historical data at each city’s representative coordinates. This model-based dataset is not a direct observation at every hotel or street. The default API model selection is Best Match; it is not exclusively ERA5.

Average temperature is the mean of daily mean temperatures; high and low are means of daily maxima and minima, not records. Wet days have at least 1 mm total precipitation (including snow water equivalent). Wet-day share is a historical fraction, not the probability of rain on a future date. Wet-day counts are rounded averages of annual monthly counts.

Amatta Junbi aggregates and rounds the source data and writes the explanations. Calendar cells show historical daily values. Different terrain, years and extreme events can differ substantially.

Our comfort score

This is a simple temperature-and-precipitation heuristic, not a safety rating, expert assessment or guarantee of a good trip. It does not account for prices, crowds, wind, disasters, snow sports or individual preferences.

Starting at 100: subtract 4 per degree above a high of 27°C, 3 per degree below a high of 20°C, 1.5 per degree below a low of 0°C, 1.1 times wet-day percentage, and 8 when humidity ≥80% and high ≥28°C. Grades: A ≥72, B ≥56, C ≥40, otherwise D.

Clothing suggestions are rule-based and should be adapted to your forecast and activities. Affiliate relationships do not affect the weather values or score.
